This is a blog, written by me – Alysha.

I’m on my soul’s path of healing and growth – mind, body & spirit. I write about what I know and experience, in the most authentic and empathetic way I can. I write (and plan to write) about areas including:

  • becoming more consciously aware (my own lessons and and ways to find awareness)
  • parenting – my perspective – gentle parenting, childbirth, pregnancy, co-sleeping, raising vegan kids, thoughts on vaccines, “wild” schooling and the like, etc.)
  • life as a vegan & plant-based living
  • non-toxic living (what products you need to be thinking about and why)
  • traveling; with kids (my husband is a professional motorcycle racer competing around the country and that has brought us overseas as well, we also own a traveling motorcycle training school that has been in Canada and England and hope to go to Hawaii, Australia, and perhaps Brazil next year.)
  • health awareness (making more conscious choices with food and understanding its impact on us and the environment)
  • tiny living (our experiences through 2 years of full-time RV living with little ones in a 33ft travel trailer, over 1 year living in a 320 sq ft converted shipping container)
  • art & creativity (encouragement to just create! and how anyone can learn these skills)
  • productivity/money making & saving ideas
  • female empowerment
  • natural movement (ways to improve your whole being through small adjustments to your current daily life)
  • guest posts by like-minded individuals offering their own insight

I want to start by saying that this is a place where I allow myself to be vulnerable by sharing parts of my life and thoughts for the soul purpose of impacting others lives in a meaningful way. We are striving for progress in our life – not perfection. Perfection is not even attainable, and does nothing but cause depression as you desperately reach for it. Please don’t hold me to that level as I try to figure it all out too. Please just remember as you read and leave comments – that I am human. Just like you are. I am doing the best I can in a very lop-sided world that doesn’t value our nutritious, eco-conscious and natural ways of living. I am trying to implement positive change in as many places as I can but also recognize that it’s extremely hard and emotionally taxing to try to adhere to a perfectly eco-conscious lifestyle in all areas without experiencing shame and guilt as you inevitably fall short. As much as I want to live 100% toxic-free, there are simply things that are out of reach financially sometimes that would allow me to do that (a great injustice in our system might I add) and I refuse to live where I am desperately trying to be “perfect” in a world that is set up in a way that doesn’t value the same morals I have – in the same way – and has basically set us up to fail. HOWEVER, it is the greatest disservice you can do for the earth to not do anything at all because you can only do so little. So I will continue to implement positive change to leave less of a negative imprint on the earth while I’m here and I encourage you all to do the same in the ways that you’re able.

Aim for PROGRESS.

Also please be aware that within my posts I am speaking from my level of awareness and I am giving you perspective that I’ve attained. To stay true to myself and remain authentic to my being, I would like to reserve my right to adjust my thoughts and beliefs as I come to new realizations just as I hope you are able to do yourself. Allow space for change, for both of us. All it takes is one thing to adjust your perspective forever – I encourage discussion and exploring different viewpoints.

In addition, I intend to keep this a safe place. A safe place for expression, for conversation, for learning and adapting. The words of all things that I write are coming from a place of empathy and love, whether your current level of awareness allows you to see that or not. Sometimes our current way of thinking (our ego) truly gets in the way of what we could actually learn from others, and we miss the opportunity for growth. I have a deep passion for the “ah-ha!” moments. The ones you have by learning something new that seems so obvious now that you cannot believe you didn’t see it that way before. I love that. That is my mission: to show you where you may be forgetting to look – to give you “ah-ha!” moments. And I also encourage you to return the favor to me, because I love nothing more than the encouragement to consider another viewpoint. To be given the chance to feel something in a brand new way. That’s what happens when you are enlightened, you gain perspective that changes everything you thought you knew. But you need to keep your mind open, while you learn, or you shut yourself off to that beautiful opportunity for growth.

My vision is to impact others with my words and perspective in similar ways that I have had this done for me through the books I’ve read, documentaries I’ve watched, my experiences and people I speak to, and my research. I am not here to judge anyone for their current situation or level of awareness. We are all encouraged to continue to grow and evolve as we come to new realizations. Today you may believe something that tomorrow you don’t believe any longer.. that is the beauty of perspective and growth. Something that I hope to be able to offer you in even the smallest way through my own experiences.

I hope that my vulnerability can help spark something within you as I bare my own struggles and triumphs as a human and mother, trying to heal from my past. I hope to encourage thought and assure you that you are not alone. You were lead here for a reason, we are in this together.

May you find everything you need in the right timing.

Here for you.
